THE One ABU DHABI CROWNED WHAT’S ON FAVOURITE CAFÉ 2012

November 2012 - Our Khalidiya Theatre Restaurant team proved once again that they have a winning recipe for success when they scooped the prestigious title of What’s On Abu Dhabi Favourite Café for the fourth time in five years on 20 November. Long regarded as the 'people's choice' awards, patrons have the opportunity to vote for their favourite restaurant, while dining at participating eateries throughout Abu Dhabi. The top three restaurants in each category are then evaluated by industry experts from across the UAE, before the final winner is selected.

February 2011 – For the third year running, our Khalidiya Theatre Restaurant in Abu Dhabi was voted What's On Abu Dhabi's Favourite Café at the 2010 gala awards dinner held at the Yas hotel on February 1. Senior Restaurant Manager Jibi Mathew and Head Chef Pedro Britto proudly accepted the award on behalf of the team. Having won six culinary accolades in the past five years, they clearly have a recipe for success. But as the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. November 2009 - Our Khalidiya Restaurant team scooped the Best Café of the Year accolade for the third time at the Time Out Abu Dhabi Restaurant Awards ceremony held at Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi on November 4. “In an increasingly competitive category, I feel this is our most hard-earned win to date. This award is testament to all the hard work that our staff and management have put in, continuously going the extra mile to make sure we stay on top,” said Rebecca Light, Restaurant Operations Manager. With its dramatic decor including chic chandeliers, our in-store restaurant is a hugely popular haunt with both locals and expats. Having just launched its new Gourmet Theatre menu, there’s no better time to visit.

April 2009 - THE One’s in-store Restaurant in our Khalidiya Theatre was again crowned Favourite Independent Restaurant/Café at the annual What's On Abu Dhabi 2009 awards dinner held at The Hilton Abu Dhabi hotel on April 13. Having won this prestigious award two years in a row now, our Restaurant team is understandably pleased as ‘pie’ and we couldn’t be more proud!

ACCORDING TO TIME OUT, THE One ABU DHABI RESTAURANT IS THE BEST CAFÉ IN TOWN!

October 2008 - Our ecstatic Khalidiya Restaurant team picked up the Best Café of the Year accolade at the Time Out Abu Dhabi awards ceremony, held on 22 October at Al Raha Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi. Thomas’ business partner, Rashid Mohammed Al Mazrouei, joined THE One’s managers and fellow Tribe members in accepting the award and celebrating the special moment.

This is the second time that THE One Abu Dhabi Restaurant has scooped this prestigious award, the first being back in 2006. Since then, the Restaurant has changed considerably. It is now able to seat over 130 guests and has designated smoking and non-smoking sections. However, one thing is still the same; it delivers an ever-changing menu of flavoursome, international dishes and delicious cakes that tantalise the taste buds.

TIME OUT ABU DHABI BEST CAFÉ OF THE YEAR 2006

November 2006 - The One Abu Dhabi Restaurant team literally walked off with the coveted Best Café of the Year award at the Time Out Abu Dhabi gala awards dinner held on November 24th. Following a thorough assessment of all cafés across Abu Dhabi, which evaluated criteria such as food quality, price and ambiance, our Restaurant came out on top and the entire Restaurant team went up on stage to receive the honours.
